“100 Yen Love” is Japan’s 88th Academy Awards entry into the Best Foreign Language Film category. It stars Sakura Ando as a 100 yen shop worker who ends up learning to box. There is of course more to it than that as you can tell from the trailer below but it looks like the right kind of wacky, sappy, funny that a lot of Japanese comedy romances are so good at capturing.
