OK… just because someone has road rage doesn’t necessarily mean they are wrong or anything. In this video the people in a car are filming their drive through a part of Takasago in Hyogo Prefecture in Japan.

You can see the two cars in front of the car that’s filming. The second car in the line is riding very close to the first for the first minute of the video. Around the 1 minute 12 seconds mark, the first car stops and the driver gets out…

Road rage is not uncommon in Japan, and I’ve even experienced some of it myself…

My story FWIW is that I was going to make a left turn (because of the reversed roads, this is like a right turn in the US) but a woman and child were crossing so I waited… a man coming the opposite direction was trying to make a right turn and slip in before me. I gave him a honk to warn him that there were pedestrians and he went crazy driving in front of me and suddenly slamming on his breaks. Eventually he stopped his car trying to block my way on the road, then got out. He was an older, pudgy Japanese man in his 50s and started yelling at me, gesturing for me to get out of the car. I lowered my window and leaned out to him to tell him I couldn’t hear him because I was listening to music, but that I really had some face to be. He looked pretty sad and pathetic standing outside of his car as I and all the other cars drove around him and his and entered the highway with him jumping up and down like an old, pudgy, Japanese Yosemite Sam yelling threats at all of us.

Here are some more videos of from the Japanese folks who decided that their new MacBook Air was thin enough to use as a knife. My first reaction was that it was kind of silly… and of course it IS silly to cut things with a MacBook Air but if you spend that much money on something, it kind of makes you want to use it.

The first two videos are built around the idea of actually using the Apple laptop as an all around tool… in this case a cooking utensil.

Hakusai, also known as Napa cabbage and other names is the first victim in a two video series:

At about 18 seconds in, you can hear him say that it’s hard to cut all the way through. A few seconds later, he gives the cabbage a tear…

The next video is using the MacBook Air to show how to devein shrimp… this one goes pretty well.

Next they successfully prepared shiitake mushrooms with it:

Last is the video making its rounds in mainstream media in which they do a nice job of cutting and preparing an apple. Given that in Japan, they generally peel all their fruits, including apples, I’d like to see him attempt to peel an apple next.
